The second, three-digit number for each course code (PY.xxx.xxx) delineates the level of the course. Courses labeled with the second number as 100-400 are undergraduate level courses. 100- and 200-level courses indicate introductory courses, usually taken in the first or second year. 400-level courses are typically taken by undergraduate seniors but may count as credit for graduate students, as well. Courses labeled as 600 or above are graduate level courses. For any questions regarding the applicability of a particular course to your degree program, please contact academic advising at peabodyadvising@jhu.edu. DMA students should contact the Academic Program Coordinator in the Office of Academic Affairs.
