Amendments/Addenda
Johns Hopkins University publishes the Academic Catalogue annually in July. The Academic Catalogue may be updated at other times throughout the year as appropriate. When updates or corrections are made to the Academic Catalogue JHU will post them in the addendum section.
For new courses and course changes, including area designations, course attributes, and foundational abilities, approved after July 1, 2026 please see the JHU Course Schedule.
This page lists all catalogue changes made after the original publication date, including newly approved programs and policy updates. Each entry includes a description of the change, date the change was made, and a link to the updated page.
Amendments
August 28, 2026 - Update to the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, ScM transferring degrees process.
August 28, 2026 - Update to the Epidemiology, MHS transferring degrees process.
August 20, 2026 - The Learning Outcomes for the Master of Public Health, Indigenous Health Area of Concentration have been updated in accordance with CEPH requirements.
August 20, 2026 - Update to School of Nursing Credit Hour Policy to reflect changes to the MSN (Entry into Nursing) program.
August 12, 2026 - Whiting School of Engineering NR WSE PhD Study Away policy was updated in the WSE Graduate Student Policy, Academic Policies, Student Enrollment Statuses section of the catalogue.
August 11, 2026 - The following program policy change to the Molecular Microbiology & Immunology, MHS was added: For AY2026-27, all students will be approved for MHS to ScM program transfer who meet the following criteria: (1) a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 in the most recent academic program at the point of transfer and (2) previous laboratory research experience or enrollment in the BSPH course 260.613.01 (Techniques in Molecular Biology) in Term 1.
Errata
September 1, 2026 - Correction: Clinical Trials, Certificate - Corrected the minimum required credit units for completion from 18 to 20.
August 12, 2026 - Corrections: Medical Physics, PhD – Core courses: replace PH.183.631 with ME.420.713 Human Anatomy & Physiology. Footnote #3 pertains to ME.420.712 and should read: To be taken in Fall, Spring, and Summer each year.
