The Department of Molecular and Comparative Pathobiology provides instruction and consultation in animal medicine, experimental techniques, and comparative pathology, with emphasis on the study of disease processes in animals which relate to human health and biomedical research. Postdoctoral training is offered in laboratory animal medicine, comparative pathology, and in retrovirus biology. The department is equipped with medical, surgical, pathology, diagnostic, and research laboratories as well as a research farm with domestic and exotic animal species.
