Office of Medical Student Affairs

The Office of Medical Student Affairs serves as a central resource to support medical students across all aspects of their experience within the School of Medicine. Students with questions about their experience, particularly those unsure of the appropriate resource, are encouraged to contact the office for guidance. Students seeking assistance in adapting to the academic environment or advice on personal or professional matters are encouraged to meet with the Associate or Assistant Deans for Medical Student Affairs. The office addresses a broad range of concerns and will connect students with additional resources as needed.

The Office of Medical Student Affairs also plays a key role in the application process for research experiences, extramural rotations, additional academic programs, and residency placements. In addition, the office assists with securing funding for student projects and serves as a liaison to the Johns Hopkins Medical Student Senate and other student organizations and services. Updates and important information on a variety of topics are communicated to students regularly.
