The Master of Science in Finance helps build the entrepreneurial capacity of students to comprehend global financial markets with its implications on local investment environments.
The full-time 30-credit MS in Finance program features:
- Johns Hopkins University's world-class faculty and experienced practitioners in the field of finance
- Strong theoretical and practical foundations in the analysis of complex financial instruments, portfolio allocation, and risk management, but also in corporate finance, company valuation, and corporate governance
- A significant portion of the curriculum is devoted to the CFA Institute’s Candidate Body of Knowledge, preparing our students to sit for the CFA exams
International students in F-1 status who complete this program and obtain post-completion Optional Practical Training (OPT) may be eligible for the STEM OPT Extension. Students should consult the Office of International Services if they have questions about this benefit.
Program Requirements
The program requires 30 credits. Full-time MS Finance students must complete the program in two semesters: fall and spring. Course waivers are not granted in this program.
