About the Office of Institutional Equity

The Office of Institutional Equity (OIE) leads JHU efforts to foster an environment that is inclusive, respectful and free from discrimination, harassment, sexual misconduct and related retaliation. In its role, OIE serves all JHU community members, assesses and investigates discrimination, harassment and sexual misconduct complaints, acts as a central resource for disability services, provides discrimination, harassment and sexual misconduct prevention training, as well as ADA/disability services training, and considers and handles requests for employee ADA accommodations, as well as student and employee religious and pregnancy/breastfeeding adjustments.
