Admission Requirements
The Post-Master's Certificate in Mechanical Engineering provides advanced, graduate-level specialization for engineers who already hold a master's degree in a closely related discipline and seek to deepen expertise in emerging or high-impact technical areas.
Admission decisions are based on the applicant's academic background and professional experience.
Program Requirements
Five courses must be completed within five years from the start of the first course. At least four of the five courses must be from the Mechanical Engineering (EN.535.XXX) program or from the full-time (EN.530.XXX) program, and at least two of the courses must be at the 700-level. The Post-Master's Certificate is designed as a coursework-based advanced specialization and does not include research or thesis options.
Only grades of B– or above can count toward the Post-Master’s Certificate. Students pursuing a Post-Master's Certificate are not required to follow a focus area and may tailor their coursework across multiple technical domains. Students are free to choose any five courses offered by the Mechanical Engineering program. All course selections outside of the Mechanical Engineering program are subject to advisor approval.
