Students may pursue an MBA/Master of Science in Nursing in Healthcare Organizational Leadership offered through the School of Nursing and the Carey Business School. This area of study provides thoughtful, strong leaders within health systems the ability to blend an understanding of medical, economic, regulatory, and ethical standards to help set organizational policy and priorities within a high-functioning organization.

Program Requirements
The program requires 61 credits, including 36 credits for the MBA and 25 credits from the School of Nursing. All 36 MBA credits must be fulfilled with "BU" courses from the Carey Business School. Students must complete the MBA portion within six years. A waived course must be replaced with an equivalent number of credits in an advanced course. Dual degree recipients receive both diplomas upon completion of both programs.

MBA Curriculum
The MBA curriculum includes 20 credits of Business Foundations and 16 credits of MBA Electives. To reach the 54 credits for an MBA degree, Carey Business School will accept 18 credits from the MSN-HOL curriculum to count toward MBA electives.
Electives may be used to earn one Specialization, but no student is required to earn a Specialization to fulfill program requirements. Students may take any combination of elective courses that meet the credit requirement, whether they combine toward a Specialization or not.
