MBA/JD Dual Degree
The MBA/JD program is a dual degree offered by the University Of Maryland Carey School Of Law and the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School to prepare students for complex challenges in business, industry, commerce, government organizations, and the nonprofit sector. The dual-degree program will provide a unique opportunity to add another dimension to the educational preparation of students who seek management and leadership responsibilities in legal practice, financing and delivery of legal services, development of new legal services, establishing and managing law firms, as well as pursuing a career focused on law and business in national and international organizations and academic institutions. More information is available at this website JD/MBA.

Students in the JD/MBA program can complete their MBA coursework within two semesters. Dual-degree JD/MBA students may also choose to complete one of the Carey full-time MBA program specializations; however, the course sequence to complete a specialization will require a JD/MBA to return to Carey after the 2024-2025 academic year to complete all specialization-required courses.
Dual-degree JD/MBA students starting the program Fall 2024 will not be required to complete the Carey full-time MBA Summer Practical Experience. Students should consult the University of Maryland Carey School of Law for any required summer courses, internships, or summer practical experience.
