Students may pursue an MBA/Doctor of Nursing Practice offered through the School of Nursing and the Carey Business School. This area of study puts a nurse in rare company alongside leaders of health care or academic institutions setting a course for the future. Graduates of this program will be prepared to create and lead new models of care delivery for communities locally, across the nation, and around the world.

Program Requirements
The program requires 61 credits, including 36 credits for the Flexible MBA. All 36 MBA credits must be fulfilled with "BU" courses from the Carey Business School. Students must complete the MBA portion within six years. A waived course must be replaced with an equivalent number of credits in an advanced course. Dual degree recipients receive both diplomas upon completion of both programs.
MBA Curriculum - All courses taken at Carey Business School
The MBA curriculum includes 22 credits of Business Foundations and 14 credits of MBA Electives. To reach the 54 credits for an MBA degree, Carey Business School will accept 18 credits from the DNP curriculum to count toward MBA electives.
Electives may be used to earn one Specialization, but no student is required to earn a Specialization to fulfill program requirements. Students may take any combination of elective courses that meet the credit requirement, whether they combine toward a Specialization or not. Specializations are simply a way to think about organizing elective course options and are optional. See the Flexible MBA portion of this catalogue for details on available Specializations.
