Cell Biology
The Department of Cell Biology provides opportunities to medical students, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows for carrying out research projects in many different areas of cell biology. The Department of Cell Biology has two major instructional functions: It provides required and elective instruction in cell biology and cell physiology for medical students, and offers organised programs of graduate study in cell biology toward the degree of Doctor of Philosophy. Two joint graduate programs are available: 1) Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology (BCMB) and 2) Cellular and Molecular Medicine (CMM).
Graduate Program
Students are accepted for graduate work leading to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (see BCMB and CMM Graduate Programs).
